WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW AS A FLEXIRENT CUSTOMER?
Who is responsible if the equipment breaks down?
In most cases Flexirent customers will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of their rented equipment. We strongly recommended that all equipment be covered for the full lease term by an extended warranty that exceeds the manufacturer’s warranty. Ask your supplier for more details. If equipment does break down during the manufacturer’s warranty period, call the manufacturer or your supplier. Remember that as a Flexirent customer we offer the security of Equipment Loaner# and Replacement Promise* services.
Equipment Loaner Program
If your rented equipment requires repairs, you are entitled to free loan computer equipment for up to 6 weeks when the rented equipment has an invoice value of $500 or above. Flexirent will dispatch equipment to you within 1 business day from the time of your request to an Australian metro area, if your request is made during business hours and stock is available. Loaner equipment is available for rented computer equipment only, including#:
- Computers
- Blackberrys
- Mobile Tablet Devices
- PDAs
- GPS
- Digital Still Cameras
- Gaming Consoles

Who is responsible if the equipment is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged?
Flexirent takes responsibility for accidental loss or damage to the leased equipment anywhere in Australia and New Zealand. If loss or damage occurs anywhere in the world during a trip of not more than 28 days duration, Flexirent will also shoulder the responsibility. Exclusions are set out in Clause 27 of the Terms and Conditions.
Under Flexi Protect, Flexirent also waives your payment obligations in the event of involuntary unemployment, disablement, terminal illness or death. See clauses 26 to 35 of the Terms and Conditions for full details.
Please note extra care is needed for portable appliances. Always keep leased equipment in a safe place. Do not leave equipment unattended in a public place or an unoccupied car as your liability may increase if you fail to ensure that equipment is kept safe and secure. How do I report an incident?
Call Flexirent on 1800 000 655 and ask for an Incident Notification Form. Our customer service team will help you through the process.
Does it cost me anything to report an incident?
There is a processing charge of $110 for rented equipment with an invoice value of up to $1000 and a $220 processing charge for rented equipment with an invoice value over $1001. The processing fee is only charged on approved incidents.
How do I change my payments details?
Go to myFlexi to update your payment details or call 1800 240 102 to speak to one of our customer service representatives.
What is the fee for missing a payment?
If you miss a payment, you’ll still enjoy the use of the equipment however a $25 Payment Default fee will be added to your next lease payment. All fees and charges throughout your rental term are outlined on your Rental Agreement. If you experience difficulty in maintaining your rental commitments, just call our friendly customer service team on 1800 647 461 who will be more than happy to help you through your options.
Are there any fees for deferring a payment?
Flexirent is happy to accommodate changes to your payment date during your selected lease term. One payment date change throughout your term can be made at no cost. If you require more than one payment date change during the term, a $25 administration fee is charged for each subsequent payment date change.

* Applies to electrical technology only. If equipment requires more than 2 warranty repairs in 2 years, on the third repair we will provide a replacement product, rather than fix and return your old equipment.
